We are here to help make childcare affordable for your family
Fees for a Day Nursery can put many mums and dads off choosing it as an option. But there are a range of Government schemes open to parents that can make nursery affordable – and we will do everything we can to help you understand the choices and access the funding that you might be eligible for:

1. Early years funding entitlement for 38 weeks a year
For children a term after they turn 9 months to 5 years old.

We participate in the government’s 15/30 hours working parents funding entitlement for eligible from 9 months old. All children, a term after their 3rd birthday, will be entitled to the universal 15 hours funding for 38 weeks a year. The additional 15 hours will be Extended Entitlement for working parents meeting the government threshold. Our nursery will stretch the 15 hours/30 hours funding to 51 weeks a year.
Parents are able to choose how they prefer to use the free entitlement. Please speak to the nursery manager about your specific requirement. A programme of learning is in place which aims to help children achieve a number of early learning goals by the end of what has been termed their foundation stage education (age 3-5).
For more information, visit the gov.uk site.
2. Tax-Free Childcare
Tax-free childcare is a new government scheme to help working families with their childcare costs.
Parents will be able to open an online childcare account to pay their registered childcare providers directly. For every £8 parents pay into these accounts, the government will add £2, and the total amount in the account can only be spent on childcare.
Parents can receive up to £2000 of government support per child per year, or £4000 for disabled children.

New Working Tax Credit claims
Working Tax Credit has been replaced by Universal Credit for most people. You can only make a new claim for Working Tax Credit if you get the severe disability premium or got it in the past month and are still eligible for it.

Universal Credit
Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs. You may be able to get it if you’re on a low income or out of work. Universal Credit is being introduced in stages across the UK.

Government Childcare Support and Funding
We support families in understanding and accessing available childcare funding schemes. Government support options may include early years funding, tax-free childcare, universal credit, and support for parents who study. Eligibility depends on individual circumstances. Families are encouraged to speak with the nursery manager for guidance on applying funding to attendance patterns.
Notice Period and Deposits
A four-week written notice is required when withdrawing a child from the nursery. This applies to all children, including those attending funded sessions. A refundable deposit equivalent to 50 per cent of one month’s fees is required at the start. This deposit is returned once the notice period has been completed in writing. Failure to provide notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit and an additional fee.
Childcare Funding And Financial Support Options
Early Years Funding (15 & 30 Hours)
We participate in the government-funded childcare scheme for eligible children from the term after they turn 9 months through to 5 years old. All children are entitled to 15 hours of universal funding from the term after their third birthday for 38 weeks per year. Eligible working parents may receive an additional 15 hours under the extended entitlement. Our nursery offers the option to stretch funded hours across 51 weeks. Parents can choose how funding is used and should speak with the nursery manager to discuss individual requirements.

Tax-Free Childcare
Tax-Free Childcare supports working families with childcare costs. Parents can open an online childcare account, where for every £8 paid in, the government adds £2. Families can receive up to £2,000 per child each year, or £4,000 for children with disabilities. Funds can only be used with registered childcare providers.
Working Tax Credit And Universal Credit
Working Tax Credit has largely been replaced by Universal Credit. Families on a low income or those out of work may be eligible for support with childcare costs through Universal Credit. Eligibility depends on individual circumstances and requires childcare to be with an Ofsted-registered provider.
Childcare Vouchers And Employer Schemes
Childcare voucher schemes and employer-arranged childcare are closed to new applicants. Families who joined these schemes on or before 4 October 2018 may continue to receive support if they remain eligible.
Support For Parents Who Study
Parents who are studying may be eligible for additional financial support, including the Parents’ Learning Allowance, depending on their circumstances.
